Tagging/Status: How to Assign To CRM Contacts Using Jetpack Forms?

I’ve discovered your recommended workflows on YouTube for assigning ‘status’ and ‘tags’ for ContactForm7 and GravityForms, but according to this tutorial there is no way of assigning ‘status’ and ‘tags’ for Jetpack native forms?

Why do native Jetpack forms lack ability to tag and assign status to JetpackCRM contacts?

Is there a way to incorporate tags and status to JetpackCRM contacts using Jetpack forms natively (or is this functionality held captive behind a pay subscription)?
